Pinellas County Permits
Last Updated: October 13, 2025After-the-Fact Storm Permits: If you’ve already started or completed storm-damage repairs without a permit, you may need an after-the-fact permit to stay compliant. Visit pinellas.gov/after-the-fact-permitting to understand the process and complete the required documents. Taking this step now helps avoid fines, protects your property, and keep Pinellas County in good standing with FEMA. Penalties for submitting permits after-the-fact are waived through Dec. 31, 2025. Standard permit fees still apply.
Unincorporated Pinellas County residents can quickly get permits for a private RV or trailer on their property if their home was damaged in the recent hurricanes. View Temporary Housing Unit Permit Information.
If you need to replace or repair a dock, seawall, marina, riprap, tie poles, or if you need to dredge or fill in Pinellas County waters, you may need a permit.
