Help for Mobile Homes
Last Updated: July 7, 2026Pinellas has one of the largest concentrations of mobile and manufactured homes in Florida. Pinellas Recovers is committed to finding solutions for individuals and families who can’t afford to rebuild or relocate from their primary home following the recent hurricanes. Pinellas residents who meet income requirements and own a mobile home as their primary residence may be eligible for assistance through Pinellas Recovers in the following ways:
- Repair of existing unit to meet storm requirements (only for units less than 5 years old).
- Replacement with a new Wind Zone 3 rated manufactured home elevated up to 8 feet to meet flood requirements
- Replacement with a new traditionally-built home if allowed by HOA and zoning.
- Relocation assistance to buy or rent a new home outside the flood zone.
Because mobile homeownership isn’t one size fits all, we’re adjusting our policies to meet the needs of those who own their land as well as those who do not and address other barriers.
